QuickBooks Connect Sydney

Posted on May 22, 2018 by Rachel McLean

Social Media isn’t easy. And sometimes, it isn’t fun. Sometimes, working on your social strategy and your marketing for your business can be stressful, boring and just distracting from the other parts of your business. And for many business owners that I’ve met, it doesn’t come naturally. And nobody enjoys spending time on something that feels foreign to them.

I started my business back in 2012, and can honestly say that even though I have coached hundreds of business owners and marketing teams on how to execute punchy, results-focused social media strategies, I often found that most of the time I was explaining customer journey 101.

I often ended up helping a business with their broader marketing strategy, looking at their business funnel, and working out the easiest ways for them to generate leads likely to convert (and not always straight away). I’d be introducing new concepts like lead nurturing, how to overcome objections, and strategies to get leads and customers moving through the sales funnel from Awareness to Conversion and beyond.

Which is why I’m looking forward to presenting at the 2018 Intuit QuickBooks Connect event in Sydney this week. My session, Stand Out in The Cloud and Win Clients using Social Media doesn’t just cover social media best practice, but also starts way back at identifying your dream customer, auditing your customer journey and if your current marketing is aligned, and working out what it is about your business that your dream clients want to know more of. Simple, easy to relate to info and, hopefully, some homework that is easy to execute.

The QuickBooks Connect Sydney event is held May 24-25.
